Construction renovation project
Volunteers with knowledge or experience in building and renovation will be highly valuable to this program. They can share their ideas and expertise with our local engineers on various building projects. Tasks may include assisting contractors with ongoing projects on school grounds.
Projects Include:
- Building classrooms
- Constructing a medical clinic
- Setting up a computer room and networking
- Building a library
- Painting walls and blackboards
- Repairing desks and floors (e.g., refilling holes in cemented floors)
- Plumbing repairs or installations
- Electrical wiring or repairs
- Building playgrounds for kids
No prior experience is necessary, but a background in construction is beneficial. English-speaking volunteers are preferred to facilitate communication with Come to Africa staff, as most local workers do not speak English.
Duration: 2-12 weeks
Working Hours: 5-6 hours a day, Monday to Friday
